I agree. Very, very little different. He was indeed “an ex-Buckeye [who] took a coaching position with ttun.” Whether he actually was popular in Cbus or is not very helpful to ttun, he’s still an ex-Buckeye coach.

I’ll add; he orchestrated the biggest fuck up of talent in college football history in ‘15 and was (reportedly) fired when they got off the plane following a top three bowl game embarrassment for OSU in ‘16.

He might be a decent OL coach (with Urban Meyer’s recruiting and S&C program backing him up), but his time managing the offense was an unmitigated disaster.

Screw him.

Of course, that’ll never happen because they suck hard and Buckeyes are too smart to work for Simple Jim.

Important addendum, Buckeyes almost always have better options and are smart enough to pursue those. Being a unwanted, desperate, colossal fuckup kinda throws that dynamic out the window.
