Jim Tressel (National Champion, ex-President, Youngstown State University, CFB HOF)

Guys, don't worry. I don't see that happening.

I can't see Coach JT ever coaching in the same conference against you guys.
I also can't see Eichorst going after a coach with an active show cause against him.

I can see either Al Golden or freaking Greg Schiano coming here. Eww....

Why would anyone worry? I don't think it's happening either, or has been seriously considered. But if I had my choice, I wish it would happen.
Because it would be a daily reminder that, while he did break rule #1, it's bullshit that he didn't get to stop coaching on his own terms. If he still wants to be coaching college football, he should be doing it here.

Surprising that you don't see Dantonio's name thrown out there for open jobs more often.

If I were michigan or nebraska, I would open up the checkbook big time for Dantonio and make Sparty pay up.

As for JT, the only coaching job worthy of him other than OSU would be the Cleveland Browns.

JT is the Browns only chance for a Superbowl before I die.

I see your point, but the fact remains that he was effectively fired (I assume) by OSU whether he coaches again or not. I think it would be really interesting though to see what he could do with a program like Nebraska, and I suspect he would do really well. The only real downside to me is that he would recruit the hell out of Ohio. Again, though, I don't think Tressel to Nebraska is under any serious consideration, so I'm just thinking of it as an interesting counter-factual scenario.

I'd feel better about it if he were doing it outside the B1G. Then I could root like hell for whoever he was coaching.
