The giant white numbers ruin the look TBH. Shrink the numbers and I'd have no problems.

So they "sorta" copied an older uniform. The out-sized M was BS. I think I'd like the proposed OSU uni better if they had gone with a small number near the left breast (to meet the NCAA number requirement), long sleeves and khaki pants.

I think foregoing khaki pants will be fine since leather helmets aren't going to happen.

Again, I don't understand why the NFL can go with an accurate "throwback" while colleges put up with half-ass "kinda like" throwbacks.

Hate lame cooker cutter uniforms? It's because a shoe company owns the rights to produce them.

Hate lame cooker cutter piped in music & gameday entertainment? It's because IMG or a similar companies owns the rights to handle the productions.

They don't have to be leather helmets. They only have to look like leather helmets. Given the money this will raise they could afford to put a thin leather cover, complete with seamed strips of leather over the current plastic model. Or they could do it with the same plastic striping Michigan uses to make their Wanged helmets - which is also an attempt to retain the look of a helmet worn by many teames in the 30, 40s, and early 50s.

I have a feeling the helmet will be similar to the one worn during that night game against Wisconsin in 2011...

Since everything was in black and white in 1917, obviously they were black. They didn't become green until color TV came out in the 60's. sheeeesh. I thought everybody knew that.

When Ohio State unveiled its black uniforms in October 2015, athletic director Gene Smith said, “We are going to pick one game every year we are going to [wear alternate uniforms].” Fans got a taste of the 2016’s alternate in June, when the father of commit Shaun Wade posted a picture of a jersey based on what the team wore during the Chic Harley era on Nike’s new Vapor Untouchable template. While the helmet has not yet been released, a source tells us that Hydro Graphics Inc. — the company that produced Ohio State’s chrome lid — is working on a ‘leather’ helmet.
