I was disappointed to see him go after one year but it’s clear he was ready to run a program

Texas should be in contact with his agent like right now.
That's exactly what they did with Herman.
I'm thinking they'll take their time and have someone with a multi season track record next time.

Like any rookie head coach, Eliah Drinkwitz inherited a schedule that he did not create when he took over at Missouri in Dec. 2019. That schedule included a trip to Massachusetts to play Boston College in his second season with the Tigers.
Drinkwitz provided some candid insight into Missouri's Saturday afternoon visit to Chestnut Hill to play an undefeated Boston College while speaking with reporters on Tuesday. Drinkwitz was complementary of Boston College's team, but made it clear that playing in New England likely would not have been in the plans if he was the one who created this season's schedule.
"If I had my pick of it, I would love to play a regional matchup that was maybe more of a rivalry game," Drinkwitz said. "That would be maybe a little bit more exciting for recruits to watch from a TV perspective or, you know, maybe we're playing in front of your family. I don't know the last time Missouri signed a kid from the great state of Massachusetts. It’s been a while."
While Drinkwitz's thought process is a valid one from a recruiting perspective — Missouri does not operate in the Northeast or New England — many perceived his comments as a shot at the talent Massachusetts produces. Jeff Hafley responded to Drinkwitz's comments on Wednesday and reiterated Boston College's desire to play anyone, anywhere.
"Yeah, I heard it, 'cause there's about 500 people who sent it to me," Hafley said. "Besides that, I probably never would have heard it. Look, I don't think he meant anything by it. And I'll give you my opinion. You guys asked me how I felt when we had to go and play UMass, right? And we had to go to Temple and play Temple. Shoot, if Colgate wanted us to go play 'em there, I'll go play there.
"And if he really didn't want to come to Boston, he should have called up and asked me and I would have gotten on a plane and flew out to Missouri to play. I don't care where we play. I don't. The football season, for me, is about getting our team games, getting better every day and having a great time doing it with each other. So, it is what it is."

"We're home again and I'm happy about that," Hafley said Tuesday. "I like playing at home. I'm excited for the students again. I'm excited for the fans again. It should be a great atmosphere. So, all the students, come early, tailgate early. If you don't want to wake up early, don't go to bed, just come out right from the night before and be out there and be loud because we need you. We felt you last time and we need you again. We need you to have fun and be excited, because this is what Saturdays in the fall are all about."
