Jay Bilas v Dan LeBetard

Bilas used to do a great job at the NBA draft when he would dog on players weaknesses while he was wearing a room mic. Everyone heard him and it pissed more than a few players off.

In spike of him being a Dookie, he does a great job with college hoops.

LeBetard is just a tool. Bilas shut him up.

Granderson(sp?) had a really good article discussing race and the NBA/sports, specifically Hansbrough and Love, on espn.com. I know enough about LeBetard to know, without being able to listen at work, what he was saying was purely inflammatory douchebaggery.

Let's see, a Duke law school graduate versus Dan the Tard. Hmmm....how might that work out?

That was fucking great.

Finally got a chance to listen to this yesterday. Hi-fucking-larious. LeBetard wasn't actually prepared to ask an informed person that question. Bilas bringing up several black players that had their athleticism questioned...even a player of the year that wasn't drafted. Then he smacked down the race argument by using LeBetard's own nationality argument was classic.

"Then take offense...it's stupid." :slappy:

Well, as much as I don't like LeBetard in general, I actually sided with him back when this dispute first occurred. GM's are human so even they are prone allow superficial attributes and biases to play a factor in their opinions. However, I never thought one would admit expressly that they discriminate against a player just because he was white. From Ricky Rubio's profile on Draft Express, one GM we spoke to recently going as far as to say that he would ?never draft a white guy.? Bilas owes LeBetard an apology. I tend to think that Bilas is an overrated analyst. He's just very well schooled at being diplomatic and towing the politically correct line.
