January 25, 1972: Minnesota Brawl

More than those disgusting acts in Minnesota needs to be remembered. As bad as the attack was, it was the pathetic, disinterested, cowardly response of the Ohio State administration that gutted one of the top two coaches in college basketball. Fred Taylor did not deserve that and it ended his career.

Yep, OSU should've raised holy hell. Minnesota's 17 member "investigative" committee after the assaults included 3 students - one of them was Dave Winfield.

Fuck Minnesota and fuck Dave Winfield.

I'm not typically one for faux internet outrage and sending harshly worded emails, but I'm going to make an exception here.

Apparently, former Minnesota basketball goon Jim Brewer, one of key participants in the attack on the OSU basketball team in 1972, is being inducted into the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame this year based on his time playing with the Cavs. Regardless of what his time with Cleveland may have been, I find this completely outrageous. His actions were disgusting and reprehensible and should preclude him for being anywhere near this organization much less be inducted into it.

If you would like to voice your displeasure with their decision, you can do so here:
