Jacoby Boren, Jack Willoughby named 1st-team Academic All-Americans

These two are shining examples of true student-athletes.
Two of the Ohio State Buckeyes' best and brightest were honored on Thursday by being named Academic All-Americans. Center Jacoby Boren and kicker Jack Willoughby were both named to the first-team, making them the 50th and 51st Buckeyes to be singled out as some of the country's most academically-gifted student-athletes.
2015 will also mark the eighth time in school history that Ohio State has had more than one player named an Academic All-American in the same season, and just the sixth time that at least two players have been named to the first-team.
Boren is the ninth player in Buckeye history to be named an Academic All-American at least twice in his career. He was also named a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, which recognizes the best football-scholar athlete in the nation. Boren has twice been named a Big Ten Conference Distinguished Scholar, as well. In 2014, he was named a second-team All American. Boren has started an amazing 27 consecutive games for Ohio State under center.
Willoughby transferred to Ohio State from Duke with an extremely impressive academic background, having graduated magna cum laude with high honors, while earning degrees in economics and statistics. He is currently working towards a master's in environmental and developmental economics at Ohio State. Willoughby led the Big Ten in extra points in 2015, knocking home all 45 of his attempts.
Congratulations to Jacoby and Jack. You both exemplify everything a student-athlete should be.
