JabriLLL "Ghost" Peppers (New England Patriots)

Not to defend mr all hype, zero production....but what a stupid article.
He may very well have a good excuse
Well if he does, what's the problem?
So far, he has yet to validate his first-round selection.
He won't ever.....buy how fair is this sentence before the preseason has even started? Nobody else drafted this year has validated shit either.

Jabrill Peppers half-season rookie report card

Run Defense:
"His tackling has been solid . . . when he actually touches the runner. Peppers’ biggest weakness in run defense is that he lacks body control to gather himself to make the tackle after sprinting to the point of attack."
Grade: D-plus

Pass Defense:
"The same issue that plagues his run defense shows up too often in the passing game: lack of body control to the point of attack. He’s allowed too many yards after the catch by being late to the party and then missing his mark."
Grade: C-minus

Impact:
"One of the big knocks on Peppers coming out of Michigan was the lack of impact plays. He famously didn’t record an interception until his final regular-season game for the Wolverines and forced just one fumble in his final two years.
Those impact plays are once again lacking in Cleveland. Peppers has just one PD and has just a single fumble recovery. Worse, the tackles for loss (15, including 3.5 sacks in ’16) are missing; Peppers has yet to record a single statistic in the backfield."
Grade: D

Overall:
"It’s been a disappointing start to Jabrill Peppers’ career. The first-rounder has struggled at learning to play a very different role than he carved out at Michigan."
Grade: D

Wow. It is almost like BP knew what we were talking about when it came to Gerbil.

I called him to the Browns in the draft. I did that as a joke, to “needle” all you Browns fans. Mostly I didn’t think it would happen because it was hard to imagine any team thinking he was first round material based upon his actual production. It’s so awesome that it actually worked out this way. Honestly, if you drafted this guy in the first round after all the evidence telling you to run the other way, then go fuck yourself. You deserve this.

Strange. Seems like he's playing the same role to me.

Never underestimate Browns' scouting. From trading up for Braylon Edwards to Manziel it's been epic fail after epic fail for almost 2 decades now.
But yea... no Browns Curse... just shocking incompetence.
