I don't know if I'm more [censored]ed at the NCAA or the players. Reimbursement for travel expenses to a charity event for college athletes with little time or money should be a given if it's documented to be actual value with compliance. However, the players know better than to take straight cash, as grad pointed out. The players knew better and no slack is to be had here, and the NCAA needs to quit deterring works of charity. If it hasn't already happened yet, disenchantment with this nonsense is going to drive college athletics into the ground.
