Even before this article,I have had the feeling that Smith would be going to scUM.This article only supports that feeling.The guy has been camping there for 3 years.Why doesn't OSU have the team up to their camp?It's not the end of the world if he doesn't go to OSU,but they need to stop the trend in this high school.IMO,Brown is the only true tackle in this class.It's unfortunate that OSU has a lot of young lineman right now,it's hurting them in recruiting.After being so shallow on the depth chart,they now have an abundance of young studs.It's almost a given that Boone will become a starter some time during the season,and the recruits are aware of that.I just hope OSU can land Brown,if Smith doesn't come to OSU.

I think you need to check your gauges ...or did you miss this part:

Now, knowing what we know about Mixon, why would there need to be a statement like this if he had any plans of going to Michigan?

Also, I have heard that Michigan projects him as a guard and they are supposedly already done with the interior. Take it FWIW.

i haven't come in contact with a single Michigan fan that feels that he will go there. if fact, the only people i've see that think he'll go up north are worrisome/doubting Buckeye fans. just relax everyone... in a little over a month we should all know what colors Connor really bleeds IMO....

I learned a long time ago not to "read" into the comments made in these recruiting articles,like the illustration you made.I am basing my observation on the total picture,including the spots open on the O-line and his past camps at scUM.You can take any of these quotes and interpret it anyway you want,they usually mean very little.Most of these recruits give the same responses about education,etc.I hope I'm wrong,he looks like a great kid,but from my "objective" viewpoint(not my scarlet and gray glasses),it looks like a scUM lean to me.

However, see it how you wish. I think I'll take the more positive outlook.

you should look at those OL #'s again Sports. ttun took a lot of OL last year and already has one committed this year. we only took 2 last year and don't have one yet this year. yes we have a lot of good young guys on the roster, but you can never, never have too many quality O-Lineman. we will take 3 OL this year most likely, and the one's we are recruiting know that.

when those sources have given information here that was not yet known only for that very same info to show up on rivals or scout days later, you tend to think they know what they're talking about. but, do as you please.

Given your history of absolute negativity and potstirring here, I will agree to disagree as any further discussion is basically pointless. Also, make sure you read the forum rules about overly-negative posting in the recruiting threads. If you have bad feelings, post them elsewhere. Yes...we are homers.

This has gone far enough...H&G is as close to Connor as any poster on this board is to any other recruit (no offense to hoopsfan). if you don't want to believe what he and others are posting about Connor and the other Colerain kids, fine. You say you don't like to "read" into comments made by a recruit, but that is exactly what you are doing. To come on here and say that you think he a Michigan lean solely by reading between the lines in an article written by a Michigan "insider" is ridiculous. Maybe you should start at the beginning of the Smith thread and read all the way through it before making such statements as "When your reliable sources are from a public sports forum,you might consider throwing darts;a more scientific approach." If you knew who these "sources" were, who have given us as much info here at BP about Connor and his teammates as they possibly can without upsetting the situation, you would retract that statement...
