or i am drunk....warning for later posters....

but i just went back and watched the teddy ginn highlights for both weeks.....it is almost surreal how the action takes place.....even on the slow-mo replays there is a difference in speed between ginn and everyone else....


i mean i have never seen this kind of difference in speed from one player to the rest of the field.....i am amazed....
 
My wife hates football. She can't stand football season and thinks that sitting around watching football is a waste of time.

She is at her parents house this weekend so I was all alone watching the Buckeyes.

After Ginn scored on that slant, the phone rang. I figured it was one of my boys calling about Ginn. It was my wife saying "Did you see that. I have goosebumps. That Ted Ginn is poetry in motion. I love watching him!" Gotta love her!

Not only is he winning games, he's bringing families together!:biggrin:

If you look at each of his long TDs you will see at least one defender who is in position to make a play but simply doesn't anticipate the speed. His first punt return in particular the D was set up perfectly to make the play and he just ran past and left them to tackle the empty spot where he was supposed to be. It is a gear I have rarely seen.

If indeed Ginn is the shutdown corner he is billed to be, then I welcome the comparisons to Woodson. Sure he played for UM, but it was hard to not be amazed at that kid's athletic ability. I hate the man with a passion, but his ability to change the game was quite similar.

Let them compare Ginn to Woodson. There is no way woodson was making these types of game changing plays on offense his freshman year. Give Ginn two more years as a WR/KR/PR and also let him show off his shutdown skills at corner, and Woodson will become merely a Big Ten great and no longer the greatest two-way player ever in the Big Ten.

One thing pissed me off during the replay. One of the losers on the 4th string of announcers we had for this game claimed the safety was out of position or just missed the tackle. I think the safety was just where he was supposed to be but was way too slow to handle TG.

Also...on the Gameday recap I believe Fowler gave JT hell for not playing him enough earlier in the year. Kinda harsh really because we did not know for certain he was going to score TDs on every other touch:)

Does anyone else think he was only jogging when he caught the ball and then exploded? Like he had to wait on the route a little to get the ball from TS.

I haven't gone back to watch that slant play yet, but it looked like he was almost at a stand still waiting for the ball and then he was at full speed in a couple of strides. He is kind of like Robert Smith in that his stride is deceptively fast.
