They had the epic which Isner won 70-68 in the 5th set last year.

The match was 6-4 3-6 6-7 7-6 70-68.

How many games will they play this year?

From a suggestion by Bucklion - the odds are mine.

Gotta wonder about the fix being in on this draw. :tongue2:

With 128 players, with 32 seeded and the others randomly selected, the odds would be 95-1 that they'd face each other in round 1.

FIFY,
Isner does hit a two handed backhand, played five times longer than the standard match length, and not to diminish his stature -- He is a big guy, nearly double the norm, . . .
however those Latin folks still mess up the proper King's language with such an archaic singular ending for a college graduate.

Isner is UGA Alumni would have been correct right?

I'll the first to admit that proof reading on Sports Message Boards is something I avoid like Onions.

I calculated the odds of them facing each other thinking that Isner was seeded, but he wasn't.

Edit - So the odds of them facing each other in the first round are actually 2/3 (the odds that whomever was drawn first wouldn't draw a seeded player) times 1/95, or about 142 to 1.

OK, I've re-opened this until 1:30 Eastern, which is the estimated time for the match to start. ESPN2 has live coverage (probably ESPN3 online as well).
