Is there a "+1" game next year?

Personally I've enjoyed ABCs coverage over the years. I liked Jackson's metaphors and felt like he did a pretty good job at being a balanced analyst. It isn't his fault that he was calling The Game during the Cooper era when I assume most of you began to follow buckeye football...

You want bad? Ask some of us old farts who had to listen to the Rose Bowl called by the likes of Chris Schienkle, Curt Gowdy, Mel Allen and a few other stand up comics posing as sports casters... now there's a cast of totally clueless folks.

Musberger? Man, the guy could have scored a major career coup if he'd done a Bob Trumpy/Paul Hornung homer-domer job at the Fiesta. The New York, Boston, Philly, Baltimore, DC corridor and LA, his two biggest markets, would have loved him.

If anything he proved himself a Big 10 man at heart. ND scores and his first comment, "Hold on folks, Troy Smith is about to get his hands on the ball and I guarantee he'll get this Buckeye team rolling..." or words to that affect. He was consistent in his praise for OSU on offense and defense all night.

Change can be good, but the only thing I've seen from Fox that was consistently good was The Simpsons.

fans?

Getting back to the original topic: My question is how does this affect the fans making the trip to the national championship game? We will not know until like 5 days beforehand who is playing in the +1 Title game. How are fans going to book charters and plan their trip down there at the last minute? There won't be a month or so to find charters, tickets, etc. I think the whole thing is a bad idea. It will fill the stadium with people just going because it's the NC, not because they are there supporting their team, which has made 3 out of the last 4 Fiesta Bowls special with all the OSU fans!!:osu:

Doens't work that way. Its merely another BCS game added... 10 total teams... the +1 game does not match up the winner of the other two games.... so you will know in the same amount of time as you would have other wise... finish 1 ro 2 in the rankings, and you're there.
