Is Iverson coming to the Cavs this offseason?

Not to look ahead past year and think we don't have a chance to do anything this year, but I recently heard something from a friend.

My friend knows one of the new minority owners of the Cavaliers and heard from him that the Cavaliers are very interested in trading for AI

Not sure who they would trade for him, but my source is pretty reliable

I don't see this happening. The Cavs don't have anything the 76'rs would take for AI besides Lebron. The Cavs already have their superstar so they need the role players to go around him. They have Z (he should resign) to play center and Gooden, Traylor, and AV to back up Z and play PF. They need to do whatever they can to get a good PG and SG this offseason. It would be nice to have 2 guards that can drain 3's like it seems every other team the Cavs play can do. Hopefully Luke Jackson can be one of those guys, but they need 2 new starting guards for next season. Anyone is expendable this off season except Lebron, and Z. They would have to get a hell of a deal to trade Gooden or AV.

Without the coach being named, this would never be entertained... It's not like AI can play for just anybody... He's more maintenance than a bi-polar blonde bombshell beauty queen... He's immense talent and immense problems to team chemistry...

Frankly, I agree with hawgs posting... I doubt 76s trade AI for Lucius Harris, McGuinness and Diop... throw in Wagner and I'm sure we have a deal:roll1:

Don't forget Welsch

Too bad we traded our first round pick for Welsch. I am sure the 6ers would have takes that for AI.

Let's get Michael Redd, or Joe Johnson, or Ray Allen, and a good point guard.
Then the Cavs will be tough

definatly agree that AI is bad for the Cavs... my friend who talked to the minority owner over the phone actually tried to talk some sense into him and not even think about going after AI

I think we're only missing that outside shooter and I really think Michael Redd can be that guy
