Iowa +x.5 at tOSU (ov/un xxx.5) Tues 6:30 BTN

It's good to see others pick up the scoring, but similar to the end of the game on Saturday, there are too many possessions where Thomas doesn't get touches. Had to have been 10+ trips in a row in this first half where he didn't even touch it.

amir, aaron white shoots 21% from 3. don't freakin' bite on his outside shot-fake. study the scouting report. you better believe that it advises giving white a lot of perimeter space.

edit: and again.

if were matta, i would pull amir so fast his head would spin. being lazy on the court and being lazy off the court do not earn minutes.

And does it again, but then recovers with a great block of Woodbury, leading to an OSU 3-on-1 that they fucking botch, but two Hawkeyes knock the ball out of bounds. Again:

What a strange game and totally weird first 2 minutes of the 2nd half.

this is one reason why shot-blocking is often an overrated stat. for all of a player's shot-blocks, he's attempting far more. quite often, the failed blocks result in wide open backside rebounds or teammates scrambling to cover weak spots.
