They showed the drinking, A&M was segregated-every school Bryant coached at was, and I guess they only wanted to show the players at the whorehouse in the beginning........

Why must the press always make it a point to say he was spurned by OSU? I guess maybe because it makes for good copy. But the truth is, he was NOT spurned by OSU. It was the other way around. Brewer always wanted to be a domer. He made no bones about it. OSU was way behind the domers when it came to his interest.

Holtz recruited Brewer when Holtz was the Coach at ND, that's how they first made contact. When Holtz got fired, he put Brewer in his back pocket and took him to South Cackalacky with him. OSU was never in the picture. Never once.

Yet somehow OSU spurned him, and Brewer got revenge on those stupid Buckeyes. Oh well, once you print somethng so many times, it becomes the truth.

Dear Cooper,

You are a failure. No wonder you are employed by ESPN.

Sincerely,

Stupid Ohio State fans

Yeah, all the other big ten teams were lining up to sign Ben at QB too, right? :roll1:
Are we supposed to ask the other Big Ten coaches which Ohio players we should be going after? Aren't we supposed to know the kids in our own backyard - who want to play for us no less?
Maybe we should tell Tressel not to offer anybody until he sees which other schools are offering - just so we know the kid's really good. :)
Apparently, Cooper just didn't consider Ohio on a par talent-wise with other states - to his chagrin and his loss.

Sincerely, another Stupid Ohio State Fan

Brewer had a big game against the Buckeyes in the Outhouse Bowl-that was pretty much it for his career. He played, but he was never a full time starter, or a gamebreaking threat like Tim Dwight. Based on his college career, I don't blame the Big 10 schools for not offering him. Brewer did more good for this program by embarassing Coop and the Buckeyes and driving the final nail in the coffin of the Cooper regime than he would have as an on field contributor.

Javon Ringer! Most likely candidate to burn us!

Possibly. However, had we offered him, he wouldn't have cleared admissions, and we would've wasted the schollarship. Plus, to make matters worse, there is a good chance that we wouldn't have gotten Mo Wells.

I'm extremely happy with how that all worked out and wish Ringer the best at MSU.
