i am a recent engineering graduate, and I've been at my new job for about 4 months now. When I first went through the interviewing process, I liked to ask about how the company encouraged continuing education. Not only did this give me an idea if I would have tuition reimbursement and if they promoted grad school, but I think it showed the interviewer that I'm not just looking to get out of school and make money. It let them know that I was looking to the future and wanted to see how the company would help me grow.
Then again...I'm a woman, so maybe that was all I needed to get a job in the engineering field.
