Listen up, you bitter a-hole: I was born and raised in the Bronx. I've lived in the tri-state area most of my life except for Columbus and a short stint in Miami. Don't imply that I'm a bandwagon fan.
The fact is, this is an Ohio State message board. Few, if any, people here give two shits about the Yankees, and wouldn't be discussing them at all if YOU didn't feel compelled to start threads about them. Then, when you get some negative feedback, you rip into us for even responding to the thread.
Hello, dumbass, it's a freakin message board - if you didn't want feedback, why did you start the thread? What did you think, we were all Yanks fans?
I'm more of a fan of my team than you'll ever be of yours.
Blah, blah, blah...
Just because your team sucks doesn't mean you have to be jealous of another team. For example, the Cowboys of the 90's had a great team, they weren't likable, but had nothing to with my team, so I didn't care about them. Just because they were good didn't mean I had to be jealous and bitter like you are.
I'm neither jealous nor bitter. There's a reason why I'm talking about the Yankees - YOU start threads about them. When I start creating threads about the Yankees, you might actually have a point. As it is, you're just a hyper-sensitive "fan" who can't handle criticism - even when it's factually based - of your favorite team. There's an easy way for you to avoid this stress. Find a Yankees fan site to post your threads or stop creating threads on a site that, by definition, isn't likely to have many Yankees fans.
Hey stupid, unless you have no idea what's going on in sports, highest payroll doesn't entitle a team to a Championship. Do the Knicks win the NBA Title each year with a payroll that DOUBLES the salary cap? Do the New York Rangers win the Stanley Cup each season with a $90 million payroll? No. In fact, both those teams COMBINED have 3 Championships in the last 60 years.
Apples and Oranges, bud. MLB has guaranteed contracts, no salary cap, and most of each team's revenue comes from their local market, creating huge disparities along population lines. The NBA, NHL and NFL are all different in some, or all, respects.
Perhaps you should delve a little deeper before calling someone else "stupid" - you're about two thoughts behind.
What's your favorite team, BTW?
I was born and raised a Pirates fan in the Ohio Valley. I rarely start threads about them here because most Buckeyes are Reds/Tribe fans, but I also don't piss my jammies every time someone criticizes them, either.
