Zurp
I have misplaced my pants.
Question for you smart dudes and ladies:
My home computer says that it sees the wireless router, or modem, or whatever the hell it thinks it is looking for. (Before we go any further, hi, I'm Zurp, and I barely know how to turn my computer on. That should let you know the level of knowledge I have on computers and networks and clouds and interwebs.) Anyway, so yeah - it says the wireless connection is good, but the modem isn't properly connected to the internet. It suggests that I restart the modem. I've done that - 3 times. Saturday night it all worked fine. Sunday morning, I got nothing. Restart the computer, nothing. Disconnected/reconnect the wireless connection, nothing. Restart the modem, nothing.
I would think that there's something wrong with Time Warner Cable's internet, except that my iPod sees the internet OK, through the same wireless connection. It goes through spurts of having good access to the internet and having no access, but overall it gets the job done. My wife's iPod is the same. Her computer is the same. My computer, though, doesn't see the internet AT ALL.
Does anyone know what the heck is going on?
Thanks
