Indiana at tOSU, November 21st, Noon on Fox

Way back when I first discovered BP, I was surprised by the number of members who wanted to see Michigan lose every game they played. My thoughts then, and pretty much now, remain that I really enjoy the rivalry and that if Michigan came into the game 0 and 11 every year, what would be the point? I then made a comment about "we might as well make Indiana our rivalry game because they'll come in with a losing record and will rarely beat the Buckeyes. So here's that day, Michigan sucks, and Indiana is suddenly our rivalry game. Go Bucks!
And just like Sparty, PSU, and ttun it's up to us to stomp them out before we give their program any momentum.

To their credit Wisconsin is the only program who comes our games ready to compete anymore.

Spencer Holbrook: Ohio State picks off three passes in blowout
Indiana has done a good job of finding ways to win games so far this season, and those victories have come from Michael Penix, the quarterback who seems to be hell-bent on pressing his luck with opposing secondaries. Finally, the Buckeyes will be the defense to make him pay for his throws that somehow have found receivers in each of the first four games of the season. Penix will throw three interceptions — to three different Buckeyes — as Ohio State serves a reminder to the country of who is the top dog in the Big Ten.

Will Crall: Indiana keeps it close, covers against Ohio State
The spread of 20.5 points is large for a game between two unbeaten programs at this point. Indiana is a solid team despite their reputation as a bottom feeder in the Big Ten. The Hoosiers have a good quarterback and strong offensive and defensive lines. Tom Allen has the Hoosiers playing inspired, and they will certainly need to be to knock off the Buckeyes. I don’t think they will, but Ohio State will have to play their first full game of the season in a competitive matchup that will be decided in the fourth quarter. I’ll take Ohio State 38-30 in a game that is closer than most people think.

Well, they both can't be right.....

I have to say... there hasn't been an OSU media presence like these guys before. They're really good at what they do and gosh they help the week go fast.

Here is what I am thinking. Ohio State's two big games (Penn State, TSUN) are diminished in standing. Maryland would have been a good opponent, not great but good. That didn't happen. This may be the best regular season opponent of this year. So, I suspect that the Buckeyes will be playing their best game with an attitude.
I agree... it's a top 10 team and I'm glad they are because that will catch our guys attention.

This is a very hard playing team they're about to play but obviously a historically bad program. Glad that are #9 because there's no way we over look them.

I do think IU has some good weapons.... but let's pump the breaks just a little. I know this has been a crazy football season thus far, but does anyone really think IU is a top 10 team? I mean let's be honest......they have 4 wins against teams that are a combined 3-13 on the year.

If OSU shows up ready to play they should win easily. If they don't and they allow IU to stick around via mistakes and TO's, IU isn't going to go away and the Bucks are in for a shootout.... in which case I still think OSU wins for the record.

Time for the Bucks defense to show up and prove they are CFP worthy.

Bolded my only reservation and make no mistake this is the most difficult offense we will face all season and that includes Wisconsin in the title game.

Time for Wade specifically to show up and lock his man down.

Warren Buffett chuckles.

I don’t see the Bucks reaching 50. I think 40 will be a challenge. IU is a defensive team under Tom Allen. They have some damn good players on that side and will fight like hell, plus throw everything at OSU.

I’ll be pleasantly surpised but I do trust Day and this passing attack over anyone else in the country. Just don’t be alarmed at a 3 and out, fellas.

Good point, this might prevent us from getting lazy after getting up to a sizeable lead. Foot on the freaking gas this week and don't stop. If we do that, we could "beat the brakes" off IU. In my view, we haven't come close to looking as good as we actually are this year yet. This game is a chance to change that. IU is legitimately good this year, but we should beat them comfortably if we actually play to our talent level for 4 quarters.
