What BtN doesn't mention though is the match-up issue. Indiana is so bad at rush defense that NO B1G team has found it necessary to pass against them. Ohio State is so good at running the ball that they have not found it necessary to pass against much better defenses than Indiana has.
Having said that, I expect the offense to work on the passing game this week. Indiana's pass defense is just as week as their rush defense. They are 117th in the naton in Pass Efficiency Defense when FCS games are factored out. While the lack of challenge might be an issue; using this game to build confidence is the best course of action IMHO, and it is what I expect the Buckeyes will do.
For that reason, I would not at all be surprised if the Buckeyes covered this spread.
Indiana: 108 out of 120 FBS teams
Akron: 115 out of 120 FBS teams
DSC is affected by conference strength, so it looks like Indiana is marginally tougher than Akron. But Indiana is falling apart. Their defense had the worst diffential peformance of the year last week (See Behind the Numbers in the preview for details).Akron: 115 out of 120 FBS teams

I think what Zurp was trying to say is that behind Boom & Boren, Ohio State is going to hit Indiana in the mouth so hard Illinois will feel it.
