Incredibly Serious And Important Question

It just occured to me... I'm gonna be in Germany for the whole football season with only AFN as my only source of buckeye tv... does anyone know of any websites or anything that will show games? ill pay for it as long as i can watch em.. otherwise im gonna be hurting bad... thanks

I can relate to your situation, I was in your shoes once for TWO years! I don't know of any and AFN is not the best tv in the world, being a veteran most of these people don't know what we have sacrificed for our country (like the majority of the 93 and 94 OSU football seasons)

It was very painful

I think you're just about screwed. I've "watched" games online before. Well not really watched. On yahoo they do live updates online. I just kept hitting the refresh button over and over. I "watched" the NCSU game that way last year. It totally sucked, butit was better than nothing.

I'm pretty sure you can listen to games on 1460's website, and maybe even on ohiostatebuckeyes.com Not sure whether you can get video on the 'net though. Maybe you can convince someone to set up a webcam aimed at a TV every Saturday :p

Good luck, soldier!

Hey soldier, check these guys out.

http://www.collegesports.com/

Specifically the CSTV information. This company manages/hosts about 80% (or more) of the D1 athletic web sites (including OSU and just recently the BigTen site). They also do a large number of college sporting events on TV and I believe do some web broadcasting. Their TV stuff is carried by cable TV companies and Direct TV ... availability is limited so you'll need to do some leg work. I have no idea if this will help or not, but it's a possibility to check out.

AFN has gotten a lot better over the years. When I was in Okinawa from Feb '93 to Aug '96, I was able to watch nearly every Ohio State game live because they had satellite feeds and they broadcast them at 1:00 a.m. Sunday mornings...while all the other guys were out chasing poon I was watching us kick ass.

Quite possibly the biggest Buckeye fan out there ... besides myself, of course.

That dickhead Saddam cost me pretty much the entire 90-93 era. Forget the war crimes, he should die for that alone.

OTOH, if you are gonna miss 4 years-those weren't bad ones to miss....Coop you jerk off:grr:

There are certain Buckeye fans who copy games and put them on DVD for people who are willing to pay a nominal fee for them. I can't see why they wouldn't ship them over seas.

You may see the games a week or two late, but at least you'll see them!

Hell, I still had the other 42 Saturday nights/Sunday mornings to chase poon...

Goof stuff here from all of you Veterans out there. Still fighting for the good old US of A, chasing poon in the wee hours of the morning and finding time to see the results of the Ohio State Buckeyes. It just can't get any better than that. Back in 60' to 64', Ohio State football was non-existant in my life, cause I was out on a AO pumping NSFO to every ship in the atlantic fleet. But thank God for all of our fighting servicemen today having a chance to keep up with football thru the AFN. Thanks guys for being there.
