If any of you have DirectTV, channel 297 is Boomerang. All they show is old cartoons. They have Laff a lympics, Grape Ape, Hong Kong Phooey, Scooby Doo, and Banana Splits. My kids love that shit and they are only 5.

Land of the lost came out on DVD recently and my kids get it every time they go to the library. I have watched a few episodes with them, and it blows me away how horrible the effects were on that show, but when I was a kid, it was the coolest shit out there. I highly recommend getting it on video to check it out.

Here is one of my favorite games. We never actually used the board. We just had wars with the beanbags in our basement and beat the shit out of each other.

If you don't think attack helicopters with missiles enforcing vigilante justice is awesome, then you probably wouldn't know good TV programming if it smacked you in the face.

Of course, who can't forget Ernest Borgnine in McHale's Navy. Other classics of the era include Gomer Pyle and F-Troop. Anyone remember Combat? Maybe we did watch too many war shows as kids.
