I'm leaving sunny NE Ohio for San Diego today!

I was there several years ago, briefly, but I remember an area of downtown called the Gaslight District that has a lot of nice restaurants, bars, etc. I ate at Croce's (owned by Jim Croce's wife), and it was very good.

Since it is snowing here and I have no vacation plans, go to the zoo!

Head south to Tijuana. I think it is only an hour from SD. I'm sure you can catch a donkey show or two.

Seriously, have a meal or two at a local place overlooking the ocean, smell the saltwater and be thankful you are out of Ohio in March.

Hotel Del Coronado... it's too cool... but I believe there is a nude or topless beach right next to it... I watched a Playboy shoot there years back when I stayed at the hotel... Marilyn Monroe made movies at that hotel...

Find MistriBuck and kick his ass. :wink2:
haha, you better bring the whole conference if you want to accomplish that :lift:

really, there is way too much to do in San Diego, these 2 links will give you everything you need to know............if you're just looking to have some fun, you can't go wrong in Downtown, (gaslamp is part of downtown) and you're lucky you'll be here for St. Patty's day, downtown is simply INSANE.............Balboa Park isn't a bad way to spend a day, a lot of cool historic architecture and museums..........and La Jolla and Coronado are worth checking out too................Tijuana is disgusting, i'd stay away, unless you're looking for an endless smorgasboard of cheap hookers, they literally line up on the walls outside of buildings....of course if that's what you're looking to do i'll tell ya where the smokin hot ones are :banger: ..........but other parts of Mexico are amazing, there is a link on the visitors guide page

Well I'm back and let me tell you - San Diego is really a fantastic place.

We drove up to Cleveland National Forest and mountain biked through Trabucko Canyon.

I didn't see any mountain lions - which I'm sure is a good thing - but the landscape is like no other.

We also hit the gas lamp district, which is a cooler version of the flats in Cleveland.

And of course, we had to oblige the one lady in the group and go to La Jolla and waste our time in some tourist shops.

I wish had more time to see and do things, but I was ultimately there for business.

If you ever get the chance to go - I highly recommend it.
