DEBuckeye

It ain't easy, bein' cheesy.
GRRRRRR, Dammitt!!!

So I'm already cranky, and I go to lunch. I decide to go to Wendy's for a burger. At the counter I order a double and say "all I want on that is lettuce and mayo". I take the bag, get in the car, and go back to the office. When I open up the burger I find melted cheese on it- I'm lactose intolerant. GOD-DAMMITT!!!

I fucking hate it when people are too stupid to do what they're supposed to do.

Your problem is that when you place an order, you expect that what you ordered is precisely what you'll revieve. This is much too high an expectation. Indeed, anything approaching 20% success is going too far.

Wendy's is the worst, though. I don't know why - I worked there back in HS, and I can assure you, Employee training is priority number 1. Yet, still, time and time again, you say something simple, like "I want katchup and pickles" and they take that to mean Mayo and Onion.

This is why I always check it before I pull away. Never rely on them not to screw it up.
I also worked at Wendy's in HS and I trust their food quality better than all of the others if that says anything. I had buddies that worked at Hardee's and they will never eat there.

My situation worked out the opposite way. I went out to pick up some Chinese for Mrs. Nasty and I for lunch, and she specifically ordered General Tso's mild (no spicy) Well when I got it home and she starts eating, her face turned all red and she got really pissed. She said her food was even spicier than normal. Looks like I get to have General Tso's for dinner now:biggrin:

And this is why I shall never eat at Hardee's again.

I went into a McDonald's in Auckland, New Zealand a few years ago and ordered a 'plain' hamburger for my son. I mean they speak English and it's McDonald's, right? Well the burger comes out with stuff on it; they didn't know what 'plain' meant for a burger. So I calmly explain that my son wants nothing on the burger. They say OK, and come back to the counter a minute later with a bun that has nothing in between it, not even a piece of meat. So I explain it a little more carefully and then he finally gets his 'plain' burger.

They weren't being difficult, and we didn't get pissed off (it's their country), but I was amazed that the concept of a plain burger was so difficult.

What a gorgeous country, though!

I had a similar problem in France. It took them 3 tries to get my Whopper just to the point where I could eat it. I want it my way right away damnit! I hate French people!

Just be happy you did not have a finger, or was that in the chili? (Yeah, I know it was a scam).

The worst food stories I ever heard were from my brother. He helped a friend out at a Chinese restaurant on New Year's Eve. He told stories about having food fights in the back room with steaks and then sending the meat up to be cooked and served. Also, they would take all the leftover tea and pour it back into the big tea pot to be served again. I'm talking leftover tea straight from half consumed cups. I never went to that place again.
