For those of us who didn't have access to watch the game, how is it that Mullens, Lauderdale and Madsen combine for 2 rebounds? And 4 shots from the field?

My swing feels like an unfolding lawn chair.
went to a bar down the street. the 3's killed us. they also got a lot of cheap rebounds underneath the basket while our bigs were out defending the 3 (recurring theme anyone?). Turner was awol in the first half but really stepped up when the game was on the line. Diebs played well again. Today was just like the last two games really. a bounce or two goes the other way and we win. The difference between us being ranked in the mid teens and being on the bubble is about 2 cheap threes and a few loose balls. tough....

Looking back, that no-call on the goaltending early in the first half would have been the tying basket. No reason to hold your head down on this one. Bucks played hard. Game ball goes to P.J. Hill with special mention to Evan Turner bringing us back late in the game with his one man show.
This Buckeye team is going to be a bracket buster if they end up being a low (#9-13) seed in the NCAA tourny. ESPN braketology had us as a #9 seed prior to the game this afternoon. Teams that aren't used to playing a zone like that and/or that 2-2-1 press are gonna struggle against this team offensively.

Bracketology had 8 Big Ten teams in The Big Dance as of this past week (the most of any conference, believe it or not), with Penn State and TSUN being 2 of the final 4 teams to make the cut. We've beaten TSUN twice this year, and we play PSU on Tuesday at home.
We're not a lock, but I would consider it a shock if OSU doesn't make the tourny this year. If anything, our play against out-of-conference teams this year and our NIT championship last year should give us the benefit of the doubt if it comes down to the final couple of teams.

I hate saying it but a mentally soft team...How many times when we just need to buckle in a defense and get a stop , we relax, give up the open 3 or the flash in the lane for an easy 10 footer...
Just so frustrating, because the team is right there...talent is there, but just not getting it done...

My only beef is his stubburness to get out of the zone. Ever since we lost Lighty, the 3 point field goal percentages teams are hitting us with are free-throwesque.
An occasioanl man look, different zone looks, anything would be better than teams being able to prepare for one defense and know exactly what needs to be done to attack it.
As a sinlge example, Northwestern took over after being down 11 with one simple adjustment....they went from a 2-3 match-up zone and occasional man, to a 1-3-1 trapping zone that extended to halfcourt, and never got out of it until the end of the game. That adjustment won them the game, and we never make any adjustments defensively. At what point does a team hitting 50% of their shots behind the arc, force you to try something else??
