Game Thread Illinois 0, at tOSU 30 (Sep 26, 3:30, ABC/ESPN)

The rain will stop for the second half, according to the satellite images I just saw. So, how will the teams adjust. I think Tressel will just continue running the ball until Illinois stops the run.

I'd like to see a couple of runs, a first down, a run, and then a long ball down the field.

any chance we could switch the chearleaders outfits to the same material as the players pants are made of? think of the cost savings in material...

im the only one thinking this? poop.

some halftime observations:

1. if the rain keeps up like it is im not certain i put someone back to return a punts period. i really don't have an issue with ray's fumble. with the conditions that sort of thing happens. but even if he catches the ball cleanly, its not like he's going to be able to make cuts and give us any type of return. i think i keep my guys in punt fake mode with noone back and make them down it where ever it ends up. at least until the rain lets up.

2. announcers rule! talk about amazing and in depth research!!! things i learned today:
A. 2 years ago tOSU lost to illi
B. tOSU was ranked #1 at the time
C. 2 weeks ago tOSU lost to usc
D. 2 years ago tOSU lost to illi
E. a sousaphone player generally dots the "i" in script ohio
F. the illibuck trophy used to be a real turtle
G. 2 years ago tOSU lost to illi

we can all add these facts to our list of things we learned today. unfortunately the massive amounts of research required to dig up these little known facts kept them from learning the names of any illi players outside of williams and benn...

so theres really no chance we could switch the chearleaders outfits to the same material as the players pants are made of? what if i offered to buy them? no?

I say keep jamming it up their asses until they come up with a cork to stop it. No need to throw as long as they can't stop the run.
