247 - Strong Finally Healthy & Ready

8/23

Despite the injuries, the recruiting process has gotten off to a fast start for Strong. Florida State, Kansas, Michigan State, Missouri and Ohio State have already offered. He says his best relationships thus far are with the Buckeyes and Tigers.

Strong is looking to visit Ohio State for the first time when the Buckeyes hosts Penn State this fall.

?They have a good running game and I like Ohio State,? Strong said. ?I like their stadium, I like their school. I?ve been looking at them since middle school. I liked Terrelle Pryor when he was there. I like a lot of players they?ve had. I like how the coach has a good impact with the players and he looks out for them and they have a big family relationship.?

Ohio State tracking St. Louis RB Natereace Strong, who calls Urban Meyer 'Don Juan of coaching': Buckeyes recruiting

COLUMBUS, Ohio – It has been years since Natereace Strong ran on the same St. Louis track as Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott, but Strong doesn’t flinch for a second before proclaiming he’s faster.

It’s the certain confidence you’d expect from one of the best prep running backs in the country, one Rivals.com ranks a four-star prospect and Scout.com ranks the No. 22 overall halfback in the 2015 recruiting class.

But Strong, a junior from East St. Louis, Ill., has a story to back up his opinion.

“Back in sixth grade, me and Ezekiel ran summer track together,” Strong said in a phone interview with Cleveland.com on Thursday evening. “He would say, ‘Man, you’re so fast. How did you get so fast?’ ”
