Identification help: 1950s OSU football sweater

I ecently obtained this late 40s or very early 50s Ohio State football, warm-up sweater. I think it is from the football team because of the #81 sewn on the sleeve. I assume it is from this era because the Macgregor Goldsmith tags were used in the late 40s and early 50s. Does anyone have a photo from this era in their collection?
Can anyone add information?
