Tacks have been good for a while now. I prefer Bauer but you cant go wrong with Tacks. They are a pain in the ass to tie though.
Thanks.

how often are you going to skate? open skate a dozen times a year? whats your price range?
For awhile we were going every weekend. But the admission and rental got to be a little much for a family of four. But if I get my own, it would probably be a couple of dozen times a year. If the weather cooperates and ponds freeze over it would be more.

I'm thinking $80-$120 is my realistic range. I don't need $500 ones, I ain't Rick Nash.

Does anyone have any opinions on ice hockey skates? I'm thinking about buying this pair . Seems like a great deal at $58. It gets good reviews too.

Any other opinions? Bauer? CCM? Easton?

Don't forget the helmet with a visor!
