Get off my lawn, you hooligans!
I know... odd thread. But I'm watching food network (I like to cook, what can I say?) and what's-her-face is getting clam chowder on cape cod. So now I'm craving.

There is this great little lakeside restaurant on Mackinac island that served up some kickass chowder... bit of a drive, though, especially when you add in the cost for the ferry.

Shit.

Just dump some in an envelope and mail it to me.

a few years back, this lady that worked in Minn. told me she was making chocolate dipped strawberries - i asked her to mail me some and we both had a good laugh - 3 days later there were two mashed up chocolate dipped strawberries in a ziplock bag/bubble mailer sitting on my desk. it was the sickest looking thing.

The best clam chowdah (and great lobster bisque, too):

http://www.legalseafoods.com/

(I think they even serve Legal at the presidential inaugurations.)

I used to work in the same building as the Legal Sea Food, and you could smell the chowdah in the stairwell. It drove me crazy -- always made me hungry. During really cold days, Legal would give us free chowder. Now our offices are located in a different building. :(
