I think I deleted the program for my Sound Card

Uhm, I was deleting programs in add/remove programs on the control panel, and instead of deleting what I wanted to, I accidently deleted some "sound" thing. It had a strange name, so I figured it was nothing. Today I tried to load music onto my PC and I got this message-
Zune software cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly.
What did I do, and how do I fix it? Thanks guys.

For starters, what type of computer do you have? If it's a brand name, like Dell, HP, etc it may have come with labeled discs you can use to reinstall the sound software/driver.

I can't be sure what you deleted, but you should be able to reinstall your sound drivers and fix the problem. It's just a matter of tracking down that disc, or figuring out what hardware you have and then downloading that from the internet.

I have a Dell, and I'd have to check for a disc, but in the mean time, I heard there was such a thing as restoring what was on your computer to a certain date. Is that real- and how would I do it if it is real? Thanks for your help.
