If you're looking for a magic pill - there is none.

I lost 35 pounds of college fat 5 years ago by...
- Competing at sports again (it gave me a reason to work out)
- I ran 8x a week
- Bought juicing machine (think Juiceman) and started making homemade vegetable and fruit juices.
- Ate 6x times a day - but smaller portions
- Cut out ALL dinning out.

Simple math.
1 pound = 3500 calories.

Eat 500 calories less per day. You lose one pound in a week.
Exercise to burn 500 calories a day. Lose another pound a week.

That is two pounds per week and is all you can really expect to lose without starving or running marathons. Starving or marathons are not long term solutions.

Drink lots of ice water, stop with the sodas and beer.
Eat as much natural food as possible.
You still end up dead in the end.:(

500 calaries a day is a lot... if you run a few miles you might get there.

Don't do heavy lifting, it will bulk you up, not drop the weight. Weight watcher works if you stick to it (they have an online system that is cheaper than actually going to their classes each week).

Do some form of cardio... good for your vascular system and burns calaries... as nola said, you need to burn off or take in less calories if you want to lose weight... it is simple math...

Well gbear- I hope you've been losing weight with all that beer you haven't been drinking on Thursdays.
