They always do this to me. The just cut away from the UK game here in Dayton, go to the "upset in the making" - UW-M vs. Alabama. I guess if you want to get down to it, it's of some local interest in the Dayton area because UW-M is in the same conference as Wright St., but come on! There is strong interest in UK in Dayton - certainly more than there is for Bama or UW-M. Also, EKU has two Miami Valley boys playin' for 'em, one of which is EKU's leading scorer. They do this shit all the time - cut away from a perfectly entertaining game to show two teams that nobody around here gives a flying fuck about.

The first 2 days of the tournament used to be much better in the early days of ESPN. I used to take 2 days off of work just to watch all of the games.

This was, of course, long ago - before ESPiN became the evil empire it is today.

Another thing about CBS is the fact that they never show anything sports related in HD.

In fact, the HD channel is blacked out at this moment.

What's the big fuckin deal about making everything available in HD? Does anyone know?

The games used to be spread out over the whole day much better, so you could see more game action.

Right now, we're in a window of about 1:45 without basketball. And there's no late night games like there used to be from the west coast.

I remember watching Pepperdine blow about a six-point lead in the last minute against NC St in 1983. That was before the 3-point shot was in the tournament, and before they started shooting 2 free throws after 10 fouls.

Valvano had his team hacking away during the comeback, with all those becoming one-and-ones. That and a huge offensive rebound on a missed free throw by Cozell McQueen with about 9 seconds left allowed NC St. to win in OT. Otherwise they never would have beaten Phi Slamma Jamma (Houston with Olajuwan and Drexler) in the Pit for the title. Of course, if Lowe and Whittington would have had the 3-point line, that team would have scored a lot more points.

All of which I probably couldn't see with the CBS schedule now. They'd switch to the game for about the last minute only.

I don't know if everyone gets two CBS channels but here in Lima we get two. One Columbus one Dayton. I don't understand why they play the same game on both stations. Have a different game on each station. I also agree with the playing games later and spreading the games out more. I am just glad that Espin don't have the rights to it. They had to show Figure Skating tonite, Absolutely Hilarious.

By the way Jlb GO Cats!!!!!

i was at the Bama vs UWM game, and you can't call that an upset (i know technically, but fuck that) UWM was a better team, so CBS should have just stayed on the UK game
