FYI, Mr. I, Mandel was criticized in the 'Polls' thread in this forum yesterday. That's part of why a new thread like this seemed like 'pile-on' whining'.

Note to all - the poll thread is the place to state opinions about whether teams are ranked correctly or not. There is also a 'BCS Rankings/Projections Thread' in the College Forum that has plenty of discussion on who deserves (or is likely) to play in the BCS Title game. It's also fine to talk about a team's ranking/bowl projection in one of the game threads.

Otherwise, it can become difficult for mods to keep all of the comments relatively organized, which is a goal for these forums.

If your post hadn't been a new thread, I wouldn't have helped to derail it so brutally.

My problem with Mandel was his voting this week.

He dropped USF to 6th after a very lackluster performance against FAU.

then this week he jumped USF for beating Central Florida who ALMOST beat Texas, but we've since found out that Texas isn't that great.

he's normally pretty consistent, but I guess the upsets have gotten to him.
