Apologies to Sushi for unfairly pointing the finger, although it did seem evident from your posts.

This week's ranking: 14
Last week's ranking: 11
Ohio State Buckeyes (1-0)
This has to be the first time in Power Rankings history that I've penalized a team for a loss by its rival. I was already uncomfortable placing OSU so high, and if Michigan was that overrated, the Buckeyes probably aren't far behind. Plus, Chris Wells only ran for 46 on Youngstown State.
Last game: Beat Youngstown State, 38-6.
Next game: Saturday vs. Akron.
I've always made it a point to do as much as possible to convey the thought process that goes into my ballot, so I regret that I dropped the ball so badly on that one -- not the decision to drop Ohio State but the lame attempt at humor/rationalization that accompanied it. Let me explain what really happened.
The thing some people don't understand about polls is that inevitably, there are going to be times when a team drops for no discernible reason. Usually it's because another team that was previously below them jumped ahead of them because of something special it did. In the case of this week's ballot, two such teams, Georgia (from 14th to eighth) and Cal (from 20th to 11th) moved ahead of the Buckeyes (previously 11th), but only one team, Michigan, dropped below them. So with Cal taking Ohio State's spot at 11th, that means the Buckeyes had to move down at least one spot to No. 12. But to do that would have also meant bumping No. 12 Rutgers (38-3 winner over Buffalo) and No. 13 Nebraska (52-10 winner over Nevada) a spot as well. I wasn't comfortable doing that, because I feel confident the Scarlet Knights and Huskers are as good if not better than where I have them ranked.
I can't say the same about the Buckeyes. I placed them at No. 11 originally mostly based on the same type of "benefit of the doubt" that caused me to put Michigan at No. 6, despite both teams' obvious shortcomings on paper, and the Youngstown State game provided no real window into whether I was right or wrong. So instead of unduly penalizing all three teams, I felt the best route was to simply move Ohio State to Georgia's old spot. I don't really think it makes that big a difference this early in the season, and if the Buckeyes do prove to be better than expected, it won't take long for them to gain back those three spots and possibly even more than that.
