It would be interesting to see if people would continue to say some of the things they do if their identity was left with their comments. Maybe they would be I suspect they wouldn't.

FWIW I know plenty of honkeys work at Taco Bell :biggrin:

I doubt it.

The guys who usually say those things usually post them for all to see and don't hide behind the cloak of anonymous private comments.

But then again Louis if you're going to hand out negative rep points to everyone like it's candy, expect some in return. Perhaps it was an off-color comment but if you want to stick around here you'll need thicker skin.

I can appreciate a good racist joke at my expense now and again. Anyone out there who'd like to take a shot at a WASP lawyer born and raised in the South (but educated elsewhere) whose ancestors were debtors/criminals from Scotland on the second boat over and then spent the next 150 years or so skinning mules (for what purpose, I've never received a sufficiently clear answer), feel free, but for God's sake, lay off of the Taco Bell jokes! You might hurt someone's feelings and make him cry about it.

USCemper - It seems to me that I have seen others state what was said in a "reputation report". However, I do not know if it was verbatim or paraphrased.

There are no hard and fast rules. Generally, it is common courtesy to leave such private correspondences private. However, there is no guarantee of anonymity. Just as if you recieved a letter thru the USPO that was offensive or that you took issue with. You would be within your rights to seek some sort of remedy (complain to whatever powers that be).

Personally, I fail to see racism in that message. Is it generally accepted that ONLY one race works at Taco Bell? What is racist about working at Taco Bell. Would it be different if they said McDonalds or "White" Castle?

We won't pick on your other faults. :)

Good or bad forums such as these give people the ability to hide in many ways.
I suspect that many names and stories are as much creative fiction as truth.
I also agree with Sears, this is not the fun and love club, if you give you get especially in the political forums.

While I do not agree with what was said about you Louis, I'm thinking you are more of a Dairy Queen guy, you have to realize that in your short time here you have been one polaring poster. A certain amount of negativity will be directed your way.

I think you can turn your rating level off, but you still seem to be able to get ratings. Maybe one of the mods can help on this.
