Actually, both were FG attempts. A 28-yarder blocked by Ndukwe, on the last play of the half; and a 46-yarder blocked by Laws in the third quarter.

IMO, Tressel is the best "kicker" coach in the country-Nugent,Huston, Groom, Sanders-these are not flukes. Most football coaches don't "get" kickers, as they will freely admit, Tressel apparently does. Pettrey was a tad shakey at the beginning of the year, but has a cannon and has developed nicely-he should be a contender for AA honors by his senior year if he continues to develop mentally. Trapasso is an excellent punter.
Beamer got his rep thru kick blocking-not the kickers, Tressel is the opposite-although I have yet to see a national media personality comment on this aspect of his coaching.
