And you've been a parent for how long now? Oh yeah, you're not...So shut the fuck up until you know what you're talking about. Paid your dowry yet, Rashmish?

Unless you can cite some evidence showing that kids sleeping with their parents when they are 2 years old leads to unfit behavior, please stop infecting this thread with your stupidity.
Do you need research and evidence on every instance of life in order to draw an accurate conclusion? Well, I guess when you have absolutely no experience in the subject matter like you do, you probably would. That fact that I've raised two perfectly normal, intelligent, and stable offspring gives me the position to make a statement, whereas you know jack shit. I suppose you think that breast feeding children until the reach school age (like that psycho mom in England did) wouldn't fuck a kid up.
All children, regardless of age, need to be away from their parents for a certain amount of time during the day. If you coddle a baby 24/7, it will be spoiled and totally dependent. And regardless what you may think, there is a huge difference in mental development between a two-year-old and an infant, so even if it may seem justified to have the baby in the room, there is absolutely no reason for the two-year-old to be sleeping in the parents' room.
Your MD certificate gets trumped big time by my parental experience. You may have a degree, but you're the one spewing the subject ignorance in this thread.
The stupidity shown here is hilarious. So your personal experience of 2 (n = 2), proves that your ideas are the best? So, if a person abused cocaine and nothing happened to him, he could say "Cocaine is safe." Try understanding basic statistics before you spout such ignorance.
One of my parents' friends raised his kids like yours. Well, his daughter is a slut and just had an abortion, so I guess that proves my position. Uh, sure.
And where did it say the mother needed to be with the children 24/7? I didn't realize the children slept 24 hours a day?
Besides, I slept alone while I was a child and my sister didn't (b/c she was born in India), and she's more normal than me.![]()

3. When kids have to sleep in their parents' room for valid reasons other than obsession on the parent's part (such as lack of room in the house, as I would assume was the case as your sister in India), there's probably little effect on the child. The point here is that the children have their own room and yet the mother makes them sleep in the same room as the mother. This shows that mother is borderline obsessive and is most likely a very controlling and manipulative individual.
This situation reminds me of the Law and Order episode where this mother kept her two boys at home nearly 24/7, filing their heads with ideas that the world is so dangerous that they should only go outside when absolutely necessary (to get food and other vital necessities). The boys (late pre-teen and early teen) could barely function with anyone except each other and their mom. Yeah, it's a TV show, but many L&O episodes are heavily based on actual cases.

Uh, actually no, it most countries in the world infants sleep in the same room as the parents - having nothing to do with socioeconomics (just like in most countries, elderly parents live with the oldest son - sending parents to a nursing home would be considered disgraceful). I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but that's the way most of the world works. You didn't know this? It's pretty common knowledge among "intelligent" people.![]()
I guess that would sway my opinion (although not to the point of being legally unfit). I agree with you, although I missed where the 2-year-old was wanting to sleep by themselves. I assumed the 2 year old was wanting to sleep with the parents. There's no reason why this mother shouldn't be letting her two-year-old sleep alone. The mother's actions are not normal.
typical third-world answer from a third-world dumbass.
