Nothing says bowl game like the Blue Turf in Boise.

As of a week ago, Maryland had sold 16 tickets and Nevada had sold 8.

Not 16 thousand and 8 thousand - 16 and 8. Seriously.

Heard that on the radio this morning...24 tickets total so far. Disc jockey smirked that there'll be more people in the ESPN trucks than in the stands. Who in the fuck wants to go to Boise?

This bowl was created shortly after Boise State went I-A, under the assumption that as long as they finished .500 or better they could host it.

The problem is the Broncos actually got too good to play in it.

The Sheraton Hawaii Bowl is the exact same...created so that Hawaii could have a home bowl game every year provided they qualified. Thing is, the Sheraton Bowl won't have to worry about Hawaii going elsewhere for a bowl now that Colt Brennen and June Jones aren't around anymore...

The sponsors are screaming, "Oh, the humanity!"

Hmmm. I'm picturing New Jersey many years ago, a huge blimp, and a fiery explosion.

It was probably the first time young Charlie Weis had too many jalapenos.

Someone should make that Photoshop of Weis plummeting from the dark skies with a huge flame coming out of his ass. I wonder if Weis get St. Elmo's fire around his asshole when he farts...then again, never mind.

I don't even want to know what made you wonder that...

Here's an article citing the 24 tickets:

BTW...what would be a "big turnout"? 40?

This game is about as exciting as sitting in a bucket of warm wallpaper paste... while reading a Jane Austen novel.

The sad part is it's not THE worst matchup out there. Northern Illinois versus Louisiana Tech will have more fans in the stands because the game is in Louisiana, but...:sleep2:
