You want to go back and fix the rest of the mistakes in that post, or just delete it completely?tedginn05 said:Misspelling, I knew there was something wrong with the look of that.
As for you, we had a great drive going. A game changing drive that could have out us back in it if we had scored and made it 14-7. There was other 2 other plays that were ligament touchdowns. One were our guy was in the endzone and scored, but also fumbled in the the endzone and they said he didn't get in(Canfield got the ball at the one). And the second should've been td was when our guy dove into the endzone, was in bounds and hit the plyon with the ball. The ref marked him at the 2 yard line and we threw an INT.
So yes the bad calls did change the out come of the game.
But congrats to Canfield, they still beat 3 other teams in the playoffs and are now in the State Championship game.
Gee, I don't remember the Dispatch article commenting on terrible officiating. This article doesn't say anything about it. In fact, it says the lineman never even got the ball on the fumbled handoff at the goalline. I'm guessing that is the play to which you are referring.

Even if the officials did screw up, (of which I see zero mention, other than from you) its time to move on. It is unbecoming to repeatedly harp on this.
If anyone wants to hear anymore about the Canfield-Beechcroft match-up, please say "Aye."
*chirp....chirp...chirp*
That's what I thought.
Believe me, I was at the game, I was there when it happened.
That article is wrong anyway, they didn't even get the right name for our FB. They state "300-pound tackle Durrell Givens never got the ball". Well thats right because he was never in the game as a ball carrier, Matt Alston is our 280 lb fullback who was a lineman earlier in the year.
Givens got in as a back-up tackle when our starters on the line needed a break. He was lucky to get in period for what he did earlier in the season.

So you were in perfect position to see every single bad call that went against you?tedginn05 said:That article is wrong anyway, they didn't even get the right name for our FB. Just to satisfy my curiousity, do you have any official sources discussing the officiating in the game? I'm having a hard time finding anything regarding the game other than the previous article.
