Kickoff is at 8 p.m. ET tonight on ABC (channel 1006 on Time Warner Columbus/Delaware).
How 'bout dem Buckeyes, folks? After weeks of struggling, the Buckeyes left the field last week looking like a national championship contender. All it took was some spiffy new uniforms—and J.T. Barrett. With No. 16 getting the nod for this week, Ohio State fans across the country are anxious to see if the momentum from last week's big win over Penn State will continue to grow. So let's find out how we can all watch, shall we?
When and where is today's game?
We're on the road this week; the game will start at 8 p.m. ET in Piscataway, NJ.
You couldn't pay me to go to New Jersey. How can I watch from home?
Tonight's game will be available on ABC and WatchESPN. That's right, Ohio State is playing in prime time on ABC again this week, despite the fact that Rutgers is unranked. That's how great the Buckeyes are. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, and Heather Cox will be our crew again this evening. As always, if you're away from a TV, you can tune in to 97.1 FM The Fan or your local Ohio State radio network affiliate.
How's Rutgers looked so far this year?
I know this will come as a shock to you, but Rutgers is not doing great at football. The Scarlet Knights are 3-3 in 2015, with losses to Michigan State, Penn State, and Washington State. They have beaten Kansas and Indiana, though, which would be impressive if this were basketball. It's not basketball, though; it's football, and KU and IU have a combined record of 4-9 this season.
Speaking of losing, remember when Michigan lost to Michigan State last week?
Yeah, I remember. It was awesome. Let's all check it out again.
Back to this week. Where will GameDay be?
The ESPN crew is mixing things up a bit this week. They'll be in Harrisonburg, VA, for an FCS showdown between No. 11 Richmond and No. 4 James Madison. The Richmond Spiders are currently 5-1, losing their season opener against Maryland (Big Ten! Big Ten!); they've since scored over 30 points in 4 of their last 5 games. The Dukes of James Madison, however, are a perfect 7-0, one of only 7 undefeated teams remaining in the FCS. The game starts at 3:30 p.m., though it doesn't look like it'll be carried on any ESPN channels, not eevn WatchESPN. I guess the game's good enough to talk about, but not good enough to watch.
What's the rest of the B1G doing?
After last week's shakeups, we're left with 4 teams in the AP Top 25: No. 1 Ohio State, No. 7 Michigan State, No. 12 Iowa, and No. 15 Michigan. The Buckeyes, Spartans, and Hawkeyes are all undefeated. (That's right, folks. Iowa is undefeated, and just like a double rainbow, we don't know what it means. Iowa and Michigan both have byes this week.
At noon, we have Northwestern at Nebraska.
At 3:30 p.m., you can watch Wisconsin at Illinois, Penn State at Maryland, or Indiana at No. 7 Michigan State.
The only B1G game on at 8 p.m. is ours, so don't miss it.
The rest of the day is spelled out for you below, because anyone who says there's such a thing as too much college football in a day is wrong.
