The Buckeyes' home opener kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET on BTN (channel 1333 Time Warner Columbus/Delaware).
Unless you just woke up from a coma, you know that Ohio State started the season off right on Monday, beating Virginia Tech and getting the attention of everyone in sports as they began their quest to return to the College Football Playoff and defend that sweet, sweet title. Cardale Jones started as QB for the fourth time, Braxton Miller and Ezekiel Elliott made some Heisman-worthy plays, and J.T. Barrett showed the world that he's the scariest backup QB since 2014 J.T. Barrett.
Today, Ohio State returns to the Horseshoe for the first home game since beating Michigan back in November 2014. (They've managed to keep busy since then.) The Buckeyes will be hosting the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors, who are coming off a 28-20 win over Colorado. That plus some big match ups should give us an exciting Saturday. Let's take a look.
When and where is the Buckeye game?
Ohio State's playing here in Columbus today. The game will start at 3:30 p.m. ET. Plenty of time to tailgate.
How can I watch it without being there?
Today's game will be on the Big Ten Network (channel 1333 if you have Time Warner). It will also be available to stream on BTN2Go, provided that you have a TV Provider login that gives you access to it. The BTN TV crew for this game will be Kevin Kugler, Matt Millen, and Lisa Byington. As always, you can listen in on 97.1 FM The Fan or your local Ohio State radio network affiliate.
Where will GameDay be spending the day?
Rece Davis and company are making the trip to East Lansing, where the No. 5 Spartans will host the No. 7 Oregon Ducks. Both teams are coming off of week 1 wins, and, as you may recall, both teams lost to Ohio State last season. The Buckeyes don't play Michigan State until November, and we wouldn't see Oregon until the post-season, but both these teams have the potential to get in the way of our championship dreams. Let's hope MSU does better in primetime than Wisconsin did last week.
What's the B1G up to today?
There are six games on at noon ET today: Oregon State at Michigan, W. Illinois at Illinois, Bowling Green at Maryland, Buffalo at Penn State, Indiana State at Purdue, and Miami (OH) at Wisconsin. Along with Ohio State, Washington State at Rutgers and Minnesota at Colorado State start at 3:30 p.m. ET, with Eastern Illinois at Northwestern following at 4 p.m. ET and Iowa at Iowa State at 4:45 p.m. ET. Then at 8 p.m. ET, we've got S. Alabama at Nebraska, Florida Int'l at Indiana, and, of course, No 7 Oregon at No. 5 Michigan State. With all 14 B1G teams playing today, it should be an interesting day for the conference.
