How to transfer DVR recordings for collection?

NateG

Can't waste the day when the night brings a hearse
I saw that Muffler had asked in another forum(the rose bowl forum) and I also was wondering how to transfer my DVR recordings to my computer or to DVD. If someone is good at doing so, could you post the way that you do it or PM me? I am not trying to get anyone in trouble but there are a couple of shows that I was shown in the mass of fans at the Iowa game and I'd like to keep it and wouldn't mind keeping a couple of other items on there. thanks.

You could dub the digital content to a DVD recorder like this.

I wanted one for Christmas but got a lump of coal instead. I have a Phillips DVR with a built DVD recorder and HD. But the Sony could be used to transfer all sorts of digital content. This one will record 1080p, the next model down does 1080i.
