How old are your oldest clothes?

I just cleaned out my lounging clothes that I've had since 94-96 or so, really took a good look at my shorts with the pockets ripped out and shirts with holes in the armpits that would tear bigger everytime I took the shirts off. Made me look like Joe Shit the Ragman.
The wife was so happy.

Well I have an Ohio State t-shirt that's probably somewhere in range of 30+ years, it was my Uncles and was given to me when he passed away. That's about the oldest thing I have, otherwise I have some convention shirts that are 10-12 years old, my dress shirts get stained too eazy, so they don't last.

My oldest clothing item are my "lucky" scarlet and gray Adidas boots, which I wore to the Michigan St game in '98, the Wisconsin game in '04, and the Illinois game this year.

:smash:

Hey those shoes are undefeated against 1AA and MAC opponents, though!

I am "King of the Pack Rats" when it comes to clothing and thats no joke. I have my original Cleveland Browns stuff from 1974 and up to 1987 and just can't let it go. I have a special middle drawer and I still wear my stocking cap from 1976 Browns and its still in good shape but my 1986 browns championship sweater is faded and just can't fit into like i use to. I am gong to have to let it all go, but what the hell I will let my son do that when i kick the bucket. At least it will give him something to do when he has to come to Florida to bury my ass. Oh well.

The oldest thing I can think about is an AAU baseball jersey I wore in 1994. At least I think I still have it somewhere.

After that, maybe an Eddie George (ok it's just the number 27) jersey that I got in 1996.

My oldest garmet:

I have a leather bomber jacket (my dad brought it back from WWII) that I sometimes wear. The tag says it was made for the US government under Navy contract N383S-39943 by Star Sportswear Mfg. Co. Lynn, Mass. My guess is that the 39 after the dash number is the year of the contract, and if so, the jacket is close to 68 years old.

That's so Sweet!! When I was in Boy Scouts there was this one kid who had his grandfathers Army green trenchcoat with the big gold buttons. It was pure wool and thick as shit, don't know how much it weighed.

Nice! I'd stick that in a shadow box to display or somewhere to preserve it.
