Were confusing threads...the golf thread...and a couple of other fine threads in horseshoes and hand grenades. ....not that there is anything wrong with that....

When I lived in Akron, I golfed often
but since I've come to Jersey, it's disappeared.. not golfed in 10 yrs
Courses here are insanely priced for very average to below average courses...
Courses I consider very average have green fees of $165-$225...
courses equiv to ones I used to bitch in Akron when they were $25-$32.. not gonna do it
I hear there are some nice courses in the state that are private... but I golfed a couple
and we are not talking in the same stratosphere as Firestone or Muirfield..
roughly equiv to Prestwick

That is the hell of it isn't it. The good thing is that not in the distant future there will be serious father/son bonding on the golf course too be had.
