How much should I pay for a plumber?

CleveBucks

Serenity now
Looking for a plumber to possibly do some work, I'd like to put a utility sink in my basement. Not really sure how easy it would be given what I have in the basement in terms of pipes and drains, but the house is only 7 years old so I'm thinking it should be possible. What's the going hourly rate for a plumber around here?

What is this "basement" of which you speak? It is unknown to me. :tongue2:

Plumbers rates, I did find this site::yow1:

Wage Rates (Plumbers)

Radical idea: Consider doing it yourself. Home Depot gives free clinics on installing sinks. See what they are doing in your area:

Home Depot Clinics and Workshops - Home Improvement Center

What I would do: Buy the materials (sink, faucet, drain, tubing, risers, shut off valves, etc.) from Home Depot or Lowes, etc. they will provide installation (at a cost) and/or recommend people that do sink installations. If this turns out to be more than I want to pay go to "plan B".

Plan B - Fuck it, I don't really want a sink in my basement after all. :slappy:

Southerners are typically acquainted with neither dentists nor pipefitters who work in basements.

The billing rates are similar.

True.
