Hummmm, care to explain why there is another member on this site with the EXACT same IP address as you donny?

In fact, not one but TWO EXACT MATCHING IP Addresses that no one else on the site shares ... just you two.

The other member also lists in their biography: LIKE SEC AND BIG TEN FOOTBALL
And lists their location as: MISSISSIPPI

Coincidence? Twin brother? Internet identity thief? Eh, I don't really care. Feel free to explain it to everyone else though.

Oh no don't confront him with facts. I'd guess you're likely to get some BS about how they go to the same school or something. It is ironic that the school I went to had unique IP addresses for every single computer.

its in the game and I share the same IP adress during the day, however if you check his IP address at home you will conclude that he and I are not the same person. I shared this site with him a couple of months ago.

Actually, chances are you didn't have unique IP's. Each computer on a local network has a unique IP internally (i.e. to anyone on your local network) but to the rest of the world you have the same IP as the server you get your internet from. It's more complicated than that, but I hope that explains it a little.

Thank you Hodge. We are all connected to the same server. We connect to the internet via T1 cable.

In order to prove this we will need a picture of you and your buddy with a computer monitor in the background displaying the BP homepage. Mike Price and his striper must also be there holding up a sign that states "It's rollin baby". I will also need you to be holding a picture of my great great grandpappy (you know who he is) so that I know which of the rednecks is you. I also request that Turd Fergeson be there with his gay arm tattoo displayed to verify that it is a real picture. I also request that your girlfriend/goat is present. If you post that picture I will believe that the two of you are not the same person.

He/I doesn't even reveal his/my age, let alone post a picture of myself/himself.

As Hodge indicated. It is called NAT (Network Address Translation). It allows for the outside world to see only one static IP address, while the local computers are dynamically allocated IP's from an internal block.

But, that still doesn't verify donny's story, only gives him an excuse.

Well, since you felt inclined to send me a nasty PM donny, I will respond in public to satisfy you.


I asked if you wanted to explain. You did so. Whether or not anyone believes you is another story.

You asked me to check both your home IP addresses versus your other addresses. I can not check to see if an IP is someone's "home" address versus their "work" address or "school" address. How do you propose I do such a thing.

You asked me to check with the folks at BNs to confirm a different IP for you there. I don't know what that would prove and as I told you, I wouldn't consider doing that, nor would I expect them to release that info. I'd be dissapointed in them if they did. I certainly wouldn't release your IP address to anyone.

You started this thread. You knew the possible consequences of bringing it up. Heck, you're almost daring someone to check your information. Now you're upset and want an apology? You're just begging for attention donny ... I gave you some, deal with it Thump ... er, donny. :biggrin:
