dodge stratus, i had a truck from 1998-2002 (ranger)
My Ranger has been great, it's a great get-around-town vehicle, great gas mileage and all I've ever had to do to it is keep the oil changed, decarb the engine every 40,000 and change the timing belt at 100,000. Of course I had a few sets of brakes and shocks but that's it. The alternator died once but they don't last forever.

'99 Ranger only thing i've ever changed was the alternator (other than routine maintenance). 137,000 miles on it.

been through a few sets of tires though.
factory firestones sucked (got 17,000 miles out of them), replacements through the recall sucked (got 4,00 miles out of them), replacements from that recall also sucked (got 8,900 miles out of them), Michelins they gave me as part of THAT recall lasted about 85,000 miles. Currently running Pirelli ATXs. about 25,000 miles on them and still look new.
