How many games will we win?

I dont think Michigan is "as advertised" in the preseason. We shut down their run game, and the way their O-Line is playing this year, I feel we can easily do the same again. After (eventaully) learning to swim through Texas line and shut down Youngs ground game, it should be much easier. Any tea that has an attack limited to the ground should play right into our hands - Minnesota, Michigan, Northwestern. Our toughest game should be @ Happy Valley, but we will come away with a win, because their defense is overrated. They gave up 200 yards passing to USF's Pat Julmiste and another 110+ on the ground. Then the next week they gave up 286 passing yards to Cincy's David Grutza. The next toughest should be MSU. If we dont find a suitable DB opposite of Youboty, this could be a long year against passing squads. We should win out and our home games shouldnt be close as we have been hit once already and should protect this stadium.

if osu comes out of happy valley 4-1, they will be 9-1 going into ann arbor. i wont make a prediction on that game yet, but ttun doesnt look intimidating at this point.

I agree. Happy Valley is going to be our toughest game this year. Iowa still makes me nervous. If Tate is healthy, Kirk Ferentz's boys will probably give us a game, despite how poor they looked this past Saturday. scUM doesn't scare me this year as much as in the past, but I look for their overall game to improve as the year goes on. I do feel we are by far the better team this year though. I see 10-1 and another BCS Bowl:biggrin: .

I think our home game vs. Texas was and will be harder than PSU...although PSU will still be a tough one...we might have just played the best team in the nation

Bear in mind, about half their O-line is out with injury right now (and last weekend). That line is going to improve, largely by returning injured players, and partly by natural progression. Don't fool yourself into believing that the game in Ann Arbor is going to be anything other than extremely tough.

PSU gave yp 13 and 24 points to the 88th and 90th ranked teams in the country. I feel really good about this game. Mike Robinson is the worst starting QB in the B10.

Minnesota is going to upset Michigan. They are the toughest game on the schedule. The have a WR to compliment Wheelwright(his name escapes me). The can run the ball all day. Their defense is dramatically improved. They actually have some DB's that can cover somebody.

Minny does look like they could very well beat Michigan, but we need the exact opposite. At the end of the season,w e need Michigan to be ranked as high as posible to close out the year on a big note per the polls.

I agree, if Michigan is to improve though, they drastically need to help their defense. I have never seen the state up north play any worst than they are right now. A 4-loss season for the wolverines is easily possible. Its hard to see their defense improving though, they just simply dont have the speed and right players right now.

Their offense looked pretty inept last week too. You can't tell me ND's D is that good. The looked clueless inside the redzone. Breaston has been invisible and Avant is good, but he is no Braylon. I see them going 8-4 this year. Long story short, I doubt they will be helping us in the polls.
